Some metal riffs I love are:

Metallica - For Whom The Bell Tolls (Opening Riff)
Black Sabbath - Iron Man
Pantera - Walk
Ozzy - Thunder Underground
White Zombie - Thunderkiss '65

Cemetery Gates - Pantera, after the intro
Clenching the fists of dissent - Machine Head (my favourite by far)
Waking The Demon - Bullet For My Valentine
Raining Blood - Slayer
Master of Puppets - Metallica
Walk - Pantera

Pantera and Machine Head riffs are the best!!

Some Sepultura riffs are pretty nice too

i have so many i just confuse myself but a couple are

Anthrax Got The time ( but it wouldn't be in my top 15 but i 've always liked it)

have to say probably will be alot of Metallica and Pantera For me as i add to it here. I heard a death metal riff that was awesome so i edited it. it goes for like 30 seconds before some angry dickhead comes on and ruins it Now all i've got is the riff and i've gotr no idea who it is.

Needed a break but i have returned for more talking amongst myself
