Thought you couldn't have a forum called Thunderstruck with out having a thread devoted to the greatest rock band of all time...AC/DC.

What are your favorite AC/DC songs? What is your favorite AC/DC album? Do you prefer Bon Scott or Brian Johnson?

As for me my top 10 AC/DC songs would be:

1. Highway To Hell
2. Back In Black
3. It's A Long Way To The Top
4. If You Want Blood (You've Got It)
5. TNT
6. Rock N Roll Damnation
7. You Shook Me All Night Long
8. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
9. High Voltage
10. Sin City

My Top 3 AC/DC albums:

1. Highway To Hell
2. Powerage
3. High Voltage

and I prefer Bon Scott over Brian Johnson just...

Huge Bon Scott Fan (And Angus)

Introduction to AC/DC was Dirty Deeds Album First song to really get my attention was "Big Balls" in '91-92 apart from their Singles Like It's a Long way to the top , T.N.T , Highway to Hell . Which were Radio mainstays growing up cept for H. to H. which was more a Legendary song than actual radio air time. I've got 2 Books AC/DC Shock to the System & Highway to Hell "The Life & Times of Bon Scott". Favourite Album Highway To Hell Favourite Song "Let There Be Rock". First AC/DC Release I remember on Video Hits "Thunderstruck" Loved it before i became a huge Fan . Wore a AC/DC cap to School. Spent last night puting AC/DC Video clips on a disc . "All Hail ACCA Hail Hail".

ed. Throw High Voltage In There with It'a Long way ... and T.N.T. Always Loved The song High Voltage Along with 100's More.

Without a doubt one of the greatest bands ever, and my personal favourite. Over half the music I own is by the great ac/dc.

I actually prefer Brian over Bon, everyone tells me I'm an idiot for it, but I just prefer his voice and style, and his ability to just keep going, even into 2009 is amazing. Cannot wait for Australian dates for the tour to be announced...footage I've seen of the shows so far has been amazing.

As for favourite songs and albums, I'm a bit outside the massive hits.

My top 3 albums would have to be:

1. Powerage/Back In Black....very hard to split these. I'd take BIB if I had to choose but I don't want to lol.
3. Flick of the Switch...absolute power and energy here will never be matched by ANYONE

Can't really list any songs in order, but some of my personal and most played are:

Bon:
Rock n roll Singer
Live Wire
Let There Be Rock
Overdose
Down Payment Blues (would be #1 if I had to choose)
Sin City
Gone Shootin'
Girl's Got Rhythm
Night Powler

Brian:
Shoot to Thrill
Rock n roll Aint Noise Pollution
Let's Get It Up
Spellbound
Nervous Shakedown
Guns for Hire
Playing With Girls (FOTW really isn't a bad album...just the production blows)
That's the Way I Wanna Rock n roll
Hail Caesar
Ballbreaker
Still Upper Lip
Sattelite Blues

Hard to tell on this Black Ice songs yet, but it's a very good album.

If by that, you are implying that The Razor's Edge is betetr than Black Ice, I'd have to disagree. TRE, like all AC/DC albums is very good (brilliant by general music standards, very good by AC/DC), but I can't help but think it's in the lower relm of their work.

There was the hit single, Thunderstruck, of course. The rest of the first half is solid (Fire Your Guns, Moneytalks, Razors Edge, Mistress for Christmas) but 5 or the final 6 tracks really lack imagination and thought by their standards. Shot of Love, however, is brilliant and the best song on the album imo.

While, Black Ice is very solid all the way though, with very few skipable tracks, if any.

I see our opinions Are Very different. Thunderstruck , Moneytalks , Razors Edge , Are You Ready , Fire Your Guns Are Stand outs For me & Awesome. I can't Rate them against Each Other (Razors Edge & Black Ice) until i've Heard Black ice About 50 more times in the Next 2 years. But at this early Stage I can say it's their best album Since Razors Edge So no You misunderstand.

p.s. You Never Skip songs of your Favourite Bands you gotta let em Grow on ya IMO. I was gonna finish my Van Halen list but now i'm listening to AC/DC for the day

I Don't know How True this is but This is a quote out of the Book Highway to Hell.
"The Story goes That a AC/DC fan in chicago sent Peter Mencsh (AC/DC Manager 1980) a tape of a Geordie album and Mencsh became immediately interested. Geordie was an undistinguished sort of hard rock outfit, but Johnson possessed a pair of lungs of the sort of proportions required by AC/DC. He was located ,he squeezed an audition into his 'busy' schedule, and he was hired".

What a Legend That Fan in Chicago Is/was.

Don't think that's true somehow.

I've got the book "AC/DC Maximum Rock N Roll" and it makes no mention of that. Just the usual that they brought Brian in for an audition after Bon had seen him at a club and thought he was great after Brian collapsed to the floor and was still screaming his lungs out. Turns out, he needed his apendix removed or something. And they had to wheel him off haha.
