Which Beatle had the best solo career?

Some highlights below:

JOHN LENNON

Promoted peace along with his wife, Yoko Ono, with classic songs such as Imagine, Give Peace A Chance and Happy Christmas (War Is Over).

PAUL MCCARTNEY

Formed 'Wings' with his wife Linda McCartney, earning some hits like Another Day and Mull of Kyntyre. Also wrote a song for a James Bond film Live And Let Die.

GEORGE HARRISON

Struck an immediate chord with his album All Things Must Pass, the single My Sweet Lord and the Concert for Bangladesh. Later helped form the Traveling Wilburys, with Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty and Roy Orbison, making hits such as Handle With Care. Formed his own producing company, Handmade Films. The biggest hit he produced was Life of Brian in which he had a cameo

RINGO STARR

Had a few minor hits with Photograph and It Don't Come Easy (both written by Harrison). Gained a starring role as the narrator on Thomas The Tank Engine

John Lennon gets my vote, he released tonnes of classics. Favorites would be Instant Karma, Woman, Working Class Hero and Imagine.

Harrison's My Sweet Lord is an epic song though.

Statistically, McCartney would probably come out in front, just on sheer volume of sales. He is still produciing CDs to this day.

My personal fave was Harrison though.
Lennon cut quite a powerful figure musically and personally, and much of his music was absolutely brilliant...but his outwardly acidic and gruff persona left me a little cold. Not to say I didn't like and admire his musical achievements...I just liked the warmer tones and musical abilities of George.
