So who's going to Soundwave 2009 next year?

Great line-up in my opinion, with a much better venue although ticket prices are a bit dear. For those fo you who are keen to come along to Soundwave i suggest you get tickets very soon, as "Early Bird" tickets are long gone and only a couple thousand general tickets are still left.

Tickets are $130, but with the line-up for 09, it's well worth it in my opinion.

The line-up:

NINE INCH NAILS
ALICE IN CHAINS
BLOODHOUND GANG
SCARS ON BROADWAY
LAMB OF GOD
ALKALINE TRIO
BILLY TALENT
THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS
FACE TO FACE
IN FLAMES
RIVAL SCHOOLS
ANBERLIN
THE SUBWAYS
EVERY TIME I DIE
DEVILDRIVER
FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND
LESS THAN JAKE
POISON THE WELL
MADINA LAKE
NEW FOUND GLORY
FROM FIRST TO LAST
BEDOUIN SOUNDCLASH
HELLOGOODBYE
FINCH
GOLDFINGER
SAY ANYTHING
CHIODOS
SILVERSTEIN
SAVES THE DAY
LACUNA COIL
36 CRAZYFISTS
STRAYLIGHT RUN
EVERGREEN TERRACE
MINUS THE BEAR
MONEEN
ACE ENDERS (THE EARLY NOVEMBER)
I AM THE AVALANCHE
JAGUAR LOVE
UNEARTH
BAYSIDE
EMERY
HOUSTON CALLS
THE AUDITION
ATTACK IN BLACK
INNERPARTYSYSTEM
VALENCIA
IN THIS MOMENT
THE RIVERBOAT GAMBLERS
ALESANA
HORSE THE BAND
MAYLENE & THE SONS OF DISASTER

The festival kicks off in Brisbane on Saturday February the 21st and wraps up in Perth on Monday, March the 2nd.

I'll be heading on to the show in Sydney

Note that a couple of acts (Scars On Broadway comes to mind straight away) have already pulled out. Dillinger Escape Plan - one of the best live acts on the planet - replace them on the bill, so it's just another reason to get out to Soundwave next year!

I'm very psyched for New Found Glory, Poison The Well, Minus The Bear, etc.

So who went yesterday? Who did you see? What did you think? etc. etc.
Highlights for the day for me were Lamb of God and Minus the Bear (Kudos to Kvlt for a most excellent recommendation Very Happy). Saw a bit of DEP after MTB although was really annoying that a couple of guys in the crowd kept throwing bottles at them, however someone told me DEP told the crowd to throw bottles at the stage- not sure about how true that was though. Otherwise the usual excellent DEP antics. AiC were awesome and the new singer done well. Horse was pretty good; keyboard player had to be on something because he was going batshit insane ahhaha. In Flames weren't too bad either.

LOG just blew everything away though. Put simply, they weren't lying when they said they were gonna turn the place inside out! Overall very impressed with the day.
